Congratulations to Steve Hutchinson for becoming the the London Skittles Champion! The final results of the tournament which took place in the Skittles Alley in the basement of the Freemason's Arms on Saturday are displayed below...

No, it makes no sense to me either, but I'm intrigued. What does the Over 3s mean?

Also, just because it's impressive, runner-up Paul Robinson ran the London Marathon the day after. That was one busy weekend...

Unfortunately we can't post a photo of Steve holding the trophy because the volcano prevented it from getting over. Thing's caused chaos everywhere...

Originally I though Skittles champion was meant in a 'Taste the Rainbow' sort of way- clearly I'm very  uneducated in the sports that exist.

The full results table is here: tinyurl.com/24shep6

In London Skittles the par score is three (i.e. taking three throws to knock all the pins over).  The number in the Over 3's column is the player's score over seven ends relative to a par score of three.  So if a player's score was 4 3 3 2 3 5 4 they would be three over.  The semi-final and final were played over nine and eleven legs respectively, so the numbers have been adjusted accordingly, which is why they aren't whole numbers.
