Ladybird, Great night out, late bar and great atmosphere.
Ladybird was everything i was looking for when i said i want a weekend out to remember. The cocktails were great with an endless choice and they actually tasted even better then they sounded. A big and varied selection of music to keep everyone happy as well as a DJ willing to play requests! A late bar; closing at 4am unlike all the other bars on Upper street that close for 2am. An amazing lively yet calm and very welcoming atmosphere and a great location to get home quick from too. I will definitely be going again and recommending to all my friends of all ages and music genre preferences as it is so mixed. A really great bar for anyone on any occasion! If you go to Ladybird, I can assure you, you really wont regret it!

A Nice Simple Bar
This is the best bar in Angel, Islington. It's a place that relatively simple, however astounds in atmosphere, choice of beers and the superbly made fresh cocktails. The place is alive when busy and the atmosphere is buzzing with activity, conversation and life. A definite place to go for anyone either living or passing though Islington.

I am kind of in love with Ladybird Bar at the moment. I have been to quite a few nights this week and each of them have been absolutely fantastic. It is a late night cocktail bar. On the weekends they have amazing Dj's, as well as sensational jazz musicians that quite literally blow me away. I have had such a great experience, hense the review. The musicians are phenomenal, and the bar staff are just awesome. Honestly, truly worth your time. Go, and enjoy yourself! It gets really quite busy, especially on the weekends, so get there quick!

Cocktails & Jazz baby, it's all good!
Sitting at the bar, listening to some fab Jazz with plenty of foot tapping Double Bass & Brass whilst sipping the yummiest & mintiest of mojitos on a summers evening in a laid back atmosphere - close your eyes and you're in New Orleans!
The staff are attentive, friendly and individual just like this bar. Islington is a great area for a night out and the Ladybird Bar is a fantastic destination.By The Pumpkin Queen at 14:13 on 02/07/10

I've got the ladybird bug
I held a private party at the ladybird bar last night and I have to say it exceeded my expectations - and they were already pretty high (!) Having picked Ladybird bar from a number of different establishments in Islington, the reasons it won our gig were all made apparent when we got there and rather than being ferreted off to a dingy basement or up some stairs to a box room we had free reign of the whole space. No request was too much, we brought our own decorations, banners, video clips, and cocktail menu, which they embraced and helped us set up. We even had a personalised slide for the event that was projected onto the street which was pretty slick! They provided a buffet but the main course was definitely the amazing live Jazz. Overall the evening, thanks to the attentive staff at Ladybird ran seamlessly and the atmosphere was buzzing, I would highly recommend it as a venue but also as a bar. The doors were opened to the public toward the end of the night as we were winding down (come on, it was a school night!) and I certainly did not want to leave! I will definitely be back to appreciate some more live jazz supping on a cocktail tapping my foot.

...The Ladybird would be, by far, the best bar around.
Having visited the joint last night for a private party, I have to say that one would never feel so relaxed and at ease anywhere else regardless of the situation.
Right from the moment you enter, you can almost smell the ambience of informality in the air, a good enough reason to venture forward up the stares and see what's beyond the portrait laden walls.
As you venture further into the bar, you immediately notice the rather funky couches on the side, a certain sign that you'll be perched on them with a cocktail later on in the night. That's just how comfortable they looked.
The Bar is relatively simple - but it's the simplicity in which the beauty expands. From a variety of cocktails to Chinese beer, its fair to say the Ladybird is full of surprises. The Bar staff are not their to impress you with their glass catching skills - no, they are there to impress you with their amazing ability to mix fusion and class together - providing you with one amazing cocktail after another.
As the night pans out, you end up mellowing out to the beautiful rhythm of the jazz band you might find yourself lucky to hear later on in the night.
