Nice pub and excellent beer garden but absolutely awful staff. None of the bar nor waiting staff seemed to be able to muster a smile for the afternoon we were in here (Wimbledon's mens singles final). Ordered two sticky toffee puddings which were rock solid, complained and were offered drinks by way of an apology First we refused but the waitress insisted so one Baileys was taken however when the bill came we were still charged for the puddings. Thinking they'd made a mistake we queried it and were told the Baileys was insted of a refund. Worst customer service we have experienced in a long while!

ReportThere's been a lot of complaints lately about the food in the King William and generally I have to agree with them. The food isn't worth the price you have to pay for it. However, it's generally easy to get a seat, the staff are friendly and the drinks averagely priced,

The King William, for anyone who doesn't know, is actually gay pub! You really couldn't tell from popping in though. One thing I would say for it is that, despite being a gay pub, the bar staff appear to be straight as every time I've been in there, they've chatted up one of my female friends! (And apparently this wasn't a bad thing!)

Great after the refurb, the King William is one of my many favs in the area. Good food, very impressed with the menu and presentation.

I went to the Willy 2 years ago and it was terrible.Staff were rude and the place was dirty.I have returned several times since it has been taken over,I can bring anyone, there is such a friendlier athmosphere, with all of the customers, and staff are polite and willing to help in any way. This bar has got rid of that 80's attitude of only gays, welcome!Prices are reasonable, compared to otherbars in Hampstead, and the food is top class. When a bar is as busy as this one they must be doing alot right.
The King William IV isn't a bad pub. However it isn't the best in the world either. It's one of those neutral places which are cool for popping in for a quick drink, but the prices are average for Hampstead and there's nothing brilliant about it. You'll generally get a seat though...
