The Heath and dogs

I was always involved and always concerned about the use made of the Heath by dogs and more importantly their owners. There is a responsibility on all dog owners not only to clean up after their pets, but to also ensure that their charges, do not attack other pets or other people.
I own up to being responsible for the flag campaign of the 1980's which accused owners for being responsible for the deposits of their beloved pets.
I sincerely hope that dog owners do not continue to use th excuse of ' excercising the dog' as a 'carte blanche' for allowing their pets to crap over hard won open space.

There is no excuse for not picking up your dog's faeces. I cannot understand people who are lucky enough to be able to walk their dogs on the Heath yet spend the entire time talking to people - usually on a mobile 'phone - and appear completely unaware of the beautiful surroundings or their dogs.

ReportAmen. I drives me mad. It's part of owning a dog, if you don't like it, don't own a dog! Simple as really!
