Butterfly Wheels Fly The Nest

There's a small group of artistic and ambitious individuals known simply as 'Butterfly Wheels' who started life in our very on Hampstead theatre. The first time I encountered them, was in their production of Alice which, as I'm sure you can guess, was a interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. Visually, it was stunning. The Pentameters theatre was almost unrecognisable, and despite not being perfect (which first show is?) showed a group with a vision.

Over a year later and the troupe are about to put on their third show. Their last was called Bedtime Tales and dealt with a world of children's dreams and nightmares. It received rave reviews from various local journalists and once again, Pentameters had been transformed beyond recognition. I wasn't lucky enough to see that show, but I'm particularly looking forwards to the group's next outing...
At the end of June, Butterfly Wheels are fleeing the safety of Hampstead and heading to the deepest, darkest depths of Shoreditch. Somehow, they've acquired Shoreditch Church and are using it as the canvas for their 'multi-media performance/installation' entitled The Seven Sins. The entire project sounds intriguing and I especially would have loved to have heard how they convinced whoever it was to let them use the church for such a project...
I'll be heading down there and my suggestion to everyone else would be to do the same. If this show continues the trend that their previous ones began, I imagine it'll be something worth seeing...

I saw this show the other day. It was amazing. If anyone can get down there before their last performance on Saturday, it's well worth it.
