Last week, a dog-walker's van containing twelve dogs, including a Samoyed belonging to food advisor Annabel Karmel.

The van was left unattended with the keys in the ignition when the driver went to collect another dog on Christchurch Hill. Nine dogs were then left, tied-up in North Finchley. The two that remain missing are both pedigrees.

Needless to say, the owners of the dogs are distraught and pleas have been left everywhere, from Hampstead to the internet. If anyone has any information that could be useful, head to the National Missing Pets Register. Rewards have been offered.

The driver of the van is a dog-walker and there are a few quotes from owners over at Ham&High suggesting that the walker was dealing with too many dogs. This is an issue that has already been discussed on HampsteadPeople, this idea that there should be a law passed as to the number of dogs that can be walked at one time by an individual. Maybe it's something that should be considered now...
