Body Found on Hampstead Heath Identified

A few weeks ago we reported on the discovery of a body on

Hampstead Heath. The body was found in a bush on the 26th of June, at

16:36 on a Saturday afternoon as people enjoyed the sun. A post-mortem was

carried out the next day and police claim that the death is not suspicious.

            The police

have now identified the body as 56 year-old Maria Bukreedan who lived on Shaftsbury Road,

Newham. She was reported missing on the 27th May of this year.

Detective Inspector Gary Randall released the following statement:

            ‘We are

keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Maria during that time that she was

missing and may be able to shed some light on the events leading up to her

death.’
