Camden Libraries Now Offer Free Audiobook Downloads

Libraries are an under-used source of entertainment. I’ve
always been a big believer of this. Where else can you actually get something
for free that thousands pay for everyday and yet still be completely legal? It’s
a genius idea. And now, in an attempt to get even more people using their
services, Camden
libraries are now giving away free audio books.
From this
week, over 550 books will be available online to Camden residents. Each audio book will be
active for three weeks and can be renewed once, but six weeks I’m sure is more
than enough time to read your basic novel. Unless of course you’re ploughing
through War and Peace. Just glancing through
the core titles shows that there’s actually quite a decent selection. And you
don’t even have to pay a penny. Then just pop it on your MP3 player, and press
play.
To accommodate
for the increase in rentals, Camden
libraries will now be allowing adults to rent 50 items at once and children 30.
I remember when it used to be 6…
Of course
everyone who comes under Camden
council is allowed to join the library, and if you haven’t, why not?! Just pop
over here to get details on how to sort that out! Our nearest Library is of course Heath Library just down near Hampstead Heath rail station, so you could always just pop in with ID and proof of address as well!
