Man Stabbed on Hampstead Heath

I was shocked to read on the Ham&High that a man was stabbed on Hampstead Heath last week. I always think of the Heath as relatively safe, (though obviously I wouldn't cross it alone at night!)

The stabbing occurred not far from the children's play area
The event happened in the late afternoon on the 26th of June. The man was found at six in the evening on Gordon House road which is next to the Hampstead Heath Lido. According to the Ham&High, his condition is stable.
The circumstances surrounding the assault are unknown. Speculation is that the man was involved in a fight. More details to follow.
