Celebrity MasterChef comes to Hampstead's Royal Free

Hampstead's Royal Free will feature on BBC's Celebrity MasterChef next week after filming for the show took place in the hospital.

    The challenge for the celebrities was to make lunch for the customers of the Royal Free's restaurant. The team of four, which included Danny Goffey from the band Supergrass, Sharon Maughan and famous decorators Justin Ryan and Colin McAllister.

    There was excitement around the hospital when filming took place earlier this year and the team ended up serving lunch to over 1000 employees.

    Graham Haden, head chef at the Royal Free, said 'The celebrities had to design a menu from a list of ingredients we sent to the show's production crew ... It all went very well.' He also noted that 'The presenters were very impressed by our [the Royal Free's] facilities.'
