Yet another car crash occurred in Hampstead yesterday (Tuesday 24th January) morning putting two people in hospital.

The collision happened at the junction of Prince Arthur Road and Fitzjohn's Avenue, just up the road from Hampstead tube station. The incident involved two cars, a BMW and a Mini, the first of which ended up in a wall, whilst the Mini collided with another car.

Buses were directed and regular traffic had to find alternative routes as the road closed for two hours whilst emergency services cleared the road. Two people were taken to Hampstead's Royal Free Hospital.

Fitzjohn's Avenue is the subject of much contention, as there have been many accidents on the road over the past few years. Many have campaigned for the speed limit to be reduced to 20MPH.
