Young people aged between 13-19 who live, study or work in Camden and want to represent their borough can now put themselves forward for election.

The Young MP Election 2012 provides an opportunity for young people to vote for their representative at local, regional and national level.

The elected young MP will play an important role within the youth council and be the voice for young people within Camden Council, seeking to put the interests of young people in the area in local decision making. They will also represent the views and interests of local young people at regional and national level through their participation within the UK Youth Parliament.

Young people can get involved by standing as a candidate, becoming an election ambassador or voting. Candidate submissions close on 24 February and voting begins on 26 March.

Visit the council's website for more details.
