Give it a Go Athletics - Olympic Athletes Coach Hampstead's Kids
By Simon__Lee | Friday, August 26, 2011, 17:54
Future british Olympic Athletes Dwayne grant and Aden Syers visited Hampstead this week as hordes of kids and young adults descended upon Parliament Hill Fields and Athletics Track for a day of sports.
The day was an opportunity for kids who might not get a chance to take part in sports to give it a go (as the name suggests!) Events such as long-jump, high-jump and wall climbing were available for the younger guests to have a try at, whilst for the older guests, there were opportunities such as Tai Chi and Zumba.
Camden's Mayor, Abdul Quadir, attended the event to presentprizes to the winners of some of the events, whilst members of the local football clubs ran classes and matches in what proved to be one of the most popular activities.
To see photos from the event (which was thankfully sunny in a week that's been hit mostly by rain!), head over to our gallery.

I saw the climbing wall and was a little jealous. Would have liked to have a go!
